Loyalty Site Sunshine Rewards Releases New Product Search Tool for Online Shopping
Fishers, IN (PRWEB) September 6, 2007 -- Sunshine Rewards (http://www.sunshinerewards.com), an online loyalty program, is launching a new Product Search function that will allow consumers to search for products across hundreds of merchants while giving them information about cash back, coupons, sales, and discounts for the merchants.
Sunshine Rewards offers free membership and gives members credits redeemable for various gift cards and gift certificates when the members shop online through designated merchants. The site features coupons, discounts, and member ratings for hundreds of merchants.
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the addition of the Sunshine Rewards Product Search (http://www.sunshinerewards.com/productsearch.php) will allow consumers to quickly perform either a simple or advanced search to locate products by keywords. When the results are returned, they are accompanied by a product description, price, and merchant where they can be purchased. What sets the search apart from any other is the additional information returned from the Sunshine Rewards database, including coupons and discounts for the merchant, the Sunshine Rewards member rating for the merchant, and the rewards a consumer would receive for making the purchase.
Sunshine Rewards member Janet Dufrene has been beta testing the new product search for the upcoming release. Says Dufrene, "The new product search on Sunshine Rewards has become a huge time and money saver for me. I can use the search function to find out who carries the product I want and who has the best price. I also can then look to see who provides the best cash back rewards for it. No more having to search through merchants to find what I need. Shopping is so much more fun."
The new search functionality uses Sunshine Rewards proprietary search software and internal data combined with product information obtained from merchant data feeds. "The search function idea," explains owner Tricia Meyer, "was actually a response to members in our forum area asking where certain products could be purchased through Sunshine Rewards links. Members wanted to be sure that they were getting rewards back for as many of their purchases as possible."
The product search function is also an effort to add value for the merchants with which Sunshine Rewards works. Says Meyer "An unintended benefit is that members are finding new items that they never thought to search for as well as merchants that they had never thought to make purchases from."
